About us

A Chalong family business, since 2014

We started with one longtail boat and a simple idea: leave earlier, take fewer people, and go where the big tour boats don't.

Today we run nine boats out of Chalong and Ao Po, but the idea hasn't changed. Most of our guides grew up on these islands. They know which cave is best at low tide, which beach is empty after lunch, and how to make a nervous swimmer feel at home in the water.

Safety and licences

Every Saltwake trip runs under our TAT licence 00/00000 from the Tourism Authority of Thailand. Our boats are registered and inspected every year by the Marine Department, and every guest is covered by accident insurance from pickup to drop-off.

  • Life jackets in every size, checked before each trip
  • First-aid and sea-rescue training for all crew, renewed yearly
  • Radio, GPS and oxygen kit on every boat
  • Weather check every morning by the duty captain

The reefs are why people come here, so we look after them. We use mooring buoys instead of anchors, hand out reef-safe sunscreen, and carry no single-use plastic on board.

Part of every booking goes to the local coral nursery at Racha Yai.
